Chief Safaricom PLC, (Bob) William passes on in the UK.

(The Daily News)According to Safaricom's Board of Directors, the Chief of Safaricom PLC, (Bob) William died this morning at his home in the UK where he was seeking medical attention, Bob had been battling with Myeloid Leukemia (AML) since October, 2017.  “It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing away of Robert (Bob) William Collymore CEO of SAFARICOM.PLC, which occurred at his home in the morning of 1s July 2019 In October 2017, Bob proceeded to the UK to receive treatment for Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and returned in July 2018 to resume duties.  The Board of Directors explained that the Chief of Safaricom had been going to different hospitals to seek medical treatment, but the condition was worsening. “He has been undergoing treatment for this condition since then in different hospitals and most recently at Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi.
